Our Team (Team GK Baguio-Benguet / CYNGC) choose Alaminos Pangasinan to attend the Bayani Challenge 2013. Bayani Challenge happens at 37 provinces in the Philippines all at the same time in 5 days; In Bayanihan Challenge there are 16 activities (House Build, Eco Village Marker, Path Walk Brick Laying, Brick Making, Comfort Room Build, School Build, Tree Planting, Mangrove Planting, Kawayan Board Walk Build, Paraisong Pambata, Health Mission, Coastal Clean-up) again this happens in 37 provinces at the same time (MARCH 23-27)
Our Team went to Alaminos at March 25, 2013.
School Build was the activity assigned for us, We painted the classrooms of the day care centers in Lucap Day Care Center, Recudo Day Care Center and Inansuanna Day Care Center. This activity was indeed enjoying, we enjoyed painting the walls with different colors, like we are again a kid playing with colors and putting color on the drawings.

We enjoyed and at least finished the assigned work for the team. .
We stayed 4days/3nights at Alaminos Pangasinan, every night there is what we called Gawad Kalinga Night. In here, the participants and guest speakers share their experiences and learnings to everyone. This event every night is very meaningful and yo can get lots of advises and knowledge that could make your life change.
Besides the school build and other activities. ..there is one event that our Team joined.. the KUSINHERO...this is a cooking challenge and the main menu is TALABA one kind of a seashell that is found in ALaminos..so, using this seashells the contestants should be able to make a new recipe......The award for this Challenge is a FREE TOUR at Hundred Islands.
Luckily, we are able to have the FREE HUNDRED ISLAND TOUR with the Tribong Lakambini of Alaminos..We are blessed!!
The last day of Bayanihan was March 27. At 8am our group proceed to the Inansuanna Da Care Center to continue our work...at 11am we return back to the place where we are staying to prepare for the boodle fight and the firehouse bath for all of us.! This is such an amazing experience.
