We made a History?

Hello everyone!

Last July 29, 2012 (Sunday), a new organization was BORN, named "PHILEX and OUTLYING YOUTH MOVER'S SOCIETY", the organization will be composing of youths from the neighboring communities of Philex Mining Corporation. This was also the FIRST youth organization of the mining companies here in the Philippines. This is such a big honor and a pressure to all of us who build this group.

It started with a conversation regarding partnership of organizations to Philex Mining Corporation-COMREL Department, until such offer was presented-the building and creating a youth group in Philex Mines, promoting a responsible mining and preservation of the environment. This was the biggest offer that we had, it is such a big responsibility.

Last July 28, 2012 (Saturday) a seminar-workshop was held at El Cielito Inn (Marco Polo Hall) Baguio City. 

There were 26 participants came on that activity. 

The seminar was about Personal Leadership and Development. The program begins with a so called RITUAL that is the giving of roses and candles to each participant, the lighted candle will be pass to everyone.

After the Ritual, Flag Ceremony and the viewing of a documentary entitled "Batingkaw" was presented. 

After that, introduction of the emcees are done.

After we are presented as the MC, The program proper was opened by the speech of Mr. Jun Diso, Department Head of COMREL Dept of Philex Mines. He Opened the program with a sharing of experiences and learning's, I remembered him saying "If we want Change, Let's start it with ourselves". 

The program continued with a socialization where we are grouped together and we our group mates' NAME, SCHOOL, ROLE IN THE COMMUNITY, LOOK ALIKE ARTIST. It was really fun! We learned from each other from it.

After our break..the program continues. We learn from our speakers in this day. Maam Feby Lunag, Maam Talet and Ms. Maureen Credo. They are such an inspiration to us.

Different activities was given to us this day. It was all about team building! We enjoyed and We learned as well from all of the activities we have done.

The program ended with a spiritual aura, We have viewed power point presentations regarding on Spiritual Life's, one power point was entitled "Father's Love". This day had been a knowledgeable day and We all enjoyed this day!

We went back to the venue at about 8:00am, I arrived early. So we arranged the room for an area that we could work well.

The staffs of the Inn was the one who assisted us to arrange the place. 

The main program started with a prayer, followed by the recap of Mr. Elmer to the activities last July 28.

Maam Janice, who is the speaker was not yet there so we discuss a lot of things and make the time valuable. We have also some brainstorming and exercises that made our body warmed up! 

Finally, Maam Janice was here and we are all excited to hear some things and information about Philex Mines.

Maam Feby was also there to help us build the VMGO of the new organization of the youths in Philex Mines and it's neighboring communities.

The body has also decided and suggested names for the New organization. The suggester introduced the organizations name being suggested.

Finally, the body had already decided a name which is the "Philex and Outlying Youth Mover's Society'. The Vision, Mission. Goals and Objectives had been planned and arranged.In this day, We also voted and choose for the first set of officers for the newly composed Organization. We do planning of future activities too.

This day has been a very busy day and an interactive day to us. We have started it, and we need to make it grow and make the organization as moving group! 

I enjoyed this 2 day activity, I met different people and I learned from them so much.
